Networking

Where does most of my business originate? From open network groups! I started open networking in August 2005 and the results have been remarkable. I attend one to three different groups a week. Each meeting takes around  two hours. I usually hang around afterwards and talk to people after the meeting and answer computer questions or help people with their laptops.  About 65% of my business, year after year, comes from open network groups. My first group was the New Haven Chamber of Commerce Networking Group. Out of this group came my best computer client and many friends. If you don’t know where to start with networking, visit some of  the groups: Georgetown Networking, True Business Networking, and Norris Networking. People sometimes tell me they are too busy to attend open networking meetings, or they don’t work. They ask “how can you spend so much time at them?” Because of networking groups,  I AM successful, my computer business is steady, I’ve started two other businesses and I don’t do any other forms of formal marketing or advertising.
