Searching on a web page

Around the year 2000 I learned a helpful search tool for finding a term on a web site.  My co-worker, Mike, showed me this trick.  On all web browsers, i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Seamonkey, Safari, Opera, etc. pressing the control key and the “F” key brings up a search window.  You type in a term and hit enter.  If the term is on the page, the cursor highlights it.  If not, nothing happens.  Instead of searching with your eyes all over the page; scrolling up and down the page, this is much faster and efficient.

Testimonials

“I have an old PC made in the dark ages. Shane could charge me over and over to repair it, but he has told me he doesn't want to work on it any longer because it is too old. He doesn't want me wasting money on it. This speaks highly of his integrity. Randi Gindi, Independent Sales Director. Mary Kay”
